Privacy Policy

EasyPeasy Finance, LLC (“EasyPeasy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal‑finance app that helps you understand your money across four life purposes — Survival, Happy, Unplanned, and Future Self. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at easypeasyfin.com and our mobile application (together, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The Service is intended for users in the United States.

Two things to know up front, because they shape everything below:

  • We never move your money. EasyPeasy connects to your financial accounts on a read‑only basis to show you insights. We do not initiate transfers, payments, or trades, and we are not a bank, broker‑dealer, or investment adviser.

  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data to target ads.

Financial data you connect through Plaid

Financial data you connect through Plaid

To show you your spending and balances, EasyPeasy uses Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to securely connect to the bank and card accounts you choose to link. See Section 3 for details. The financial data we receive may include account balances, transaction history (amounts, dates, descriptions, and merchant information), and basic account identifiers. We connect on a read‑only basis and do not receive or store your bank login credentials — you enter those directly with Plaid.

2. How we use your information

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the core Service — organize your transactions into the four life purposes, surface insights, and track progress toward your Safety Net and goals.

  • Categorize your transactions with the help of a third‑party AI service provider. To sort transactions into the four life purposes, we send transaction details — such as merchant name, amount, and date — to an AI service provider that returns a suggested category. We do not send your name, contact details, or account login credentials for this purpose, and our contract with the provider prohibits it from using your data to train its models or for any purpose other than providing this service to us.

  • Power Peasy, our in‑app check‑in assistant (see Section 4).

  • Detect and flag transactions that may be relevant to you (for example, potential childcare/dependent‑care, education, self‑employment, or charitable items) so you can review them. We flag items for your review; we do not file anything or compute amounts for you.

  • Communicate with you about your account, security, and updates.

  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use.

A core product principle: we detect signal from your data, but we confirm meaning with you before acting on it.

Aggregated and de‑identified data. We may create aggregated or de‑identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for example, by combining usage patterns across users — and we use it only internally, to operate, analyze, and improve the Service. We do not attempt to re‑identify this data, we do not use it for any user‑facing or external purpose, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.

EasyPeasy uses Plaid to gather your financial data from the institutions you connect through the app. By connecting an account, you grant EasyPeasy and Plaid the right and authority to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution, on your behalf. You agree that your information will be transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.

4. The Peasy assistant

4. The Peasy assistant

Peasy is a rule‑based in‑app check‑in feature. It responds using predefined logic applied to your in‑app data — it is not a human, and Peasy itself does not generate its responses using a third‑party AI model. Separately, to sort your transactions into the four life purposes, we use a third‑party AI service provider to help categorize transactions — see Section 2 and Section 6. We may use aggregated, de‑identified information about how Peasy is used to improve it (see Section 2).

EasyPeasy is currently free. If we offer paid subscriptions in the future and you purchase one, your payment will be processed by the app store through which you downloaded EasyPeasy (the Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not collect or store your full payment card number. We may receive confirmation details such as your subscription status, transaction identifiers, and renewal dates. The app store handles your payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.

6. How we share your information

6. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers / processors who work on our behalf — for example, Plaid (account connectivity), cloud hosting, and a third‑party AI service provider that helps categorize your transactions (and analytics providers, if we add them) — under contracts that limit them to using your information to provide services to us.

  • Legal and safety — to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful requests, and to protect the rights, safety, and property of you, us, or others.

  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you.
